Camadrie-report. 

For months now the Buktapaktop has been dysfunctional, if not defunct. Various attempts at getting the whole original group together for a meeting have failed, and so we proceeded with plans on a smaller scale... 

Ten years of creative activity is not nothing, but given the fact that the original crew is largely busy with other things, it is no longer viable to continue as we were. It is also not tenable to finance a place that does not function... After considering various models of reform we think it is best to change gears completely and create something fresh (younger?) and new... 

Thus... To be done with Buktapaktop. We do think this should be done in an organized manner... And the project of making a publication about the ten years of creative activity is still on the table... As well as a new entity with a new profile.. More than just a Bukta II... 

For this we consider to return the administrative & financial managing to a Dialogist-Kantor headed body, and consider a new function for the space in light of the coming 3-5 year period... Since it is becoming obvious that the owners will at some stage want to renovate and end our tenure... (When is unclear) 

We envisage a transitional period of two-three months, and propose the residency of D-K in Maubeuge (half March / April) as a sort of interim brainstorming and try-out platform for a future relaunch of activities at the rue Simonis... Which in the meantime can function as bureau d'editeur provisionel for the preparation of the 10-year book. Just as the first period of this original group, then still under the title 'Aporia' and presenting it's Kippis-multiple at the "Fumoir" it is time for a new entity to continue the long line of creative instances in the former postcard printshop of Nels editions.... 

 

 Once more concrete proposals are defined we can attempt another official hand-over meeting, but in the meantime this minority decision seems to be the only way forward.. 

Of course any original members interested in participating in this new version are welcome.

Camadrie-rapport.

De Buktapaktop functioneert al maanden niet meer, zo niet ter ziele. Verschillende pogingen om de hele oorspronkelijke groep bij elkaar te krijgen voor een bijeenkomst zijn mislukt, en daarom zijn we verder gegaan met plannen op kleinere schaal...

Tien jaar creatieve activiteit is niet niets, maar gezien het feit dat de oorspronkelijke crew grotendeels met andere dingen bezig is, is het niet langer haalbaar om door te gaan zoals we waren. Het is ook niet houdbaar om een plek te financieren die niet functioneert... Na het overwegen van verschillende hervormingsmodellen denken we dat het het beste is om de versnelling volledig te veranderen en iets fris (jonger?) en nieuws te creëren...

Dus... Te doen met Buktapaktop.

Wel vinden wij dat dit op een georganiseerde manier moet gebeuren... En het project om een publicatie te maken over de tien jaar creatieve activiteit ligt nog op tafel... Evenals een nieuwe entiteit met een nieuw profiel.. Meer dan gewoon een Bukta II...

Hiervoor overwegen we om het administratieve en financiële beheer terug te geven aan een orgaan onder leiding van Dialogist-Kantor, en een nieuwe functie voor de ruimte te overwegen in het licht van de komende periode van 3-5 jaar... Aangezien het duidelijk wordt dat de eigenaren een bepaalde fase wil renoveren en onze ambtstermijn beëindigen... (Wanneer is onduidelijk)

We voorzien een overgangsperiode van twee tot drie maanden en stellen de residentie van D-K in Maubeuge (half maart/april) voor als een soort tussentijds brainstorm- en proefplatform voor een toekomstige heropstart van de activiteiten in de Simonisstraat. Die ondertussen kan fungeren als bureau d'editeur provisionel (naar voorbeeld van isi 'éditeur provisoire) voor de voorbereiding van het 10-jaar boek.

Net als de eerste periode van deze oorspronkelijke groep, toen nog onder de titel 'Aporia' en haar Kippis-multiple presenterend op de 'Fumoir' is het tijd voor een nieuwe entiteit om de lange lijn van creatieve exemplaren in de voormalige drukkerij van Nels voort te zetten.

Zodra er meer concrete voorstellen zijn gedefinieerd, kunnen we een nieuwe officiële overdrachtsvergadering proberen, maar in de tussentijd lijkt dit minderheidsbesluit de enige weg vooruit. Uiteraard zijn alle oorspronkelijke leden die geïnteresseerd zijn in deelname aan deze nieuwe versie welkom.
